My expectations were very high because of Evan’s superb demonstration of each instrument. His thorough review of each guitar’s condition, sound qualities, and playability gave me confidence that I would receive the kind of guitar I was hoping for. Also, Evan is a very fine player, so his many demonstration pieces put each guitar through its paces and give the buyer a chance to repeatedly listen to the guitar’s characteristic colors, string qualities, and dynamics. Given my remote location, The Guitar Collection has given me access to extraordinary guitars built by world-class luthiers. Highly recommended!
Saw Guitar Collection by chance and I was hesitating buying such an expensive instrument on the web. Few days later my teacher recommended a luthier which they happen to have their guitars in stock. Decided to give it a try, and I was surprised: extremely fast shipping, very detailed packaging, guitar and case arrived without any issue and I’m enjoying it. Probably the most expensive thing I bought on internet but I’d definitely do it again!
I have bought a classical guitar from Evan and have also used his services to sell one of my guitars. Fantastic experience on both occasions. Evan has found a niche in this classical guitar space and his high audio/video quality reviews of each instrument and his commentary provide the highest value possible when comparing guitars without actually playing the instrument personally. Evan is the guy! I have worked previously with two highly reputable guitar houses, and they were very good. (I have also worked with professional brass, violin, piano and pipe organ companies in the course of my work.) But Evan is another level! He is impeccably honest, knowledgable, and very pleasant to work with. He explains the process, and things go just as he explains it. He is realistic with pricing, and timing.
