Yulong Guo Chamber Concert 640mm
2026Cedar / Indian Rosewood / 640mm

China
Yulong Guo has devoted himself to guitar making since 1983, and his workshop, founded in 2011, has become one of the most respected sources of double top guitars in China. Over more than four decades he has traveled regularly to Germany, France, Britain, and Spain to exchange techniques with the makers there, gradually developing an aesthetic standard and a style entirely his own. He remains personally involved in voicing, and he adjusts instruments to suit individual players, their technique, their hands, even the condition of their nails.
Guo works almost exclusively in double top construction, which he values for its resonance, rich color, and sensitivity, with deep basses and singing trebles. His range runs from the accessible Echoes, through the Chamber Concert, a favorite of conservatory students and gigging professionals, to the flagship Philharmonic, where he reserves his finest woods and devotes the most time to voicing each soundboard. Recent guitars show his aesthetics maturing as well: intricate three dimensional rosettes, Romanillos inspired designs, raised fingerboards, French polish, and thoughtful details like matte finished armrests and bridges.
We have spent time with Yulong Guo at his workshop in China, discussing the changes he has made across his models, and we are proud to be the exclusive North American dealer for the Philharmonic. The 2026 Philharmonic is a substantial leap forward, exceptionally lightweight and remarkably open straight out of the case, with a maturity of sound that normally takes far longer to develop. We usually keep Chamber Concert models in stock as well, and they remain one of the strongest values in the double top world. Our expert team is happy to help match players with the right model, and showroom visits are always welcome.
