This 2025 guitar from Jeremy Cooper of Tucson, Arizona represents the continued evolution of one of today’s leading voices in double-top construction. Known for his mastery of tone color, projection, and effortless playability, Cooper has spent over two decades refining his craft and more than a decade developing his balsa-core double-top design. The result is a sound that combines warmth, focus, and clarity with exceptional responsiveness and control.
No. 124 features a balsa-core double-top with a Western Red Cedar outer soundboard and Spruce inner layer, producing a complex, luminous tone that blooms under the lightest touch. The Ebony back and sides add power and depth while maintaining a smooth, rounded treble. The result is a commanding yet lyrical voice suitable for the concert stage or studio alike.
The mahogany neck and elevated African Ebony fingerboard follow the same design used in the guitars Cooper built for the Assad brothers, who both perform on his instruments in concert today. The guitar is finished with Scheller tuners, a V-jointed headstock, and Cooper’s trademark attention to detail throughout.
