This mint condition guitar from German luthier Andreas Kirschner was originally built for GuitarCollection.com, and we are very happy to have it back. It is the first Kirschner we have had the honor to represent, and an outstanding example of his work. Kirschner is known for his finely crafted doubletops, with a reputation for sustain, resonance, and power without sacrificing clarity. We visited him at his workshop in Germany and had the chance to play this very instrument. It is a cedar and Nomex doubletop paired with gorgeous Indian rosewood, finished with a flawless French polish that looks like glass.

The sound of this Kirschner is powerful, overtone-rich, and sustaining, yet it retains crisp clarity. The main air resonance sits at F-sharp, giving it a profound depth without the compromises of guitars tuned even lower. When tuned to D, the low register is thunderous, yet balanced beautifully by clear, singing trebles. It combines deep, growling basses with long sustain and colorful overtones while maintaining balance and clarity across the registers.
Andreas has said that sustain and richness of tone are top priorities for him, and this guitar is a perfect expression of that philosophy. It offers a true balance of warmth, power, and clarity.
The guitar is remarkably easy to play, with a slim C-shaped neck, a slightly raised fingerboard for upper fret access, and low action that allows you to push the instrument without break-up or buzz. It is one of those rare instruments that feels like both a tool and a piece of art. The carved heel and raised fingerboard make higher positions effortless, while the setup allows you to drive the instrument dynamically, and the sympathetic resonance and overtones create a colorful and immersive playing experience.
Mint. Originally built for GuitarCollection.com and now back with us, the guitar shows beautifully, with an exceptionally even, pore-filled French polish.
