Sound and Playability
This guitar offers outstanding consistency across the entire fingerboard, a hallmark of Müller’s work. Every note sustains with balance, clarity, and rich tonal color. The trebles are brilliant, singing, and highly focused, while the basses are deep, rounded, and supportive without ever becoming boomy or diffuse.
One of the defining qualities of this instrument is how little effort it requires to produce a full concert sound. Even gentle attacks bloom into a complex, expressive tone that makes subtle phrasing and dynamic shading feel very natural. The dynamic range is wide, the sustain is excellent, and the guitar responds quickly and predictably to changes in right hand position and articulation, giving the player a high degree of control.
The neck profile is slightly on the thinner and very comfortable side, with superb fretwork and an ideal setup that support long practice sessions and demanding repertoire alike.
Condition
This 2015 Antonius Müller is in excellent condition. There are only small nail marks here and there from normal careful use, mostly superficial and visible only on close inspection. There are no cracks, no repairs, and no signs of repolishing. Structurally and cosmetically it presents as a very clean, well cared for concert instrument.
Final Thoughts
This is a superb example of Antonius Müller’s work, combining a responsive cedar double top with elegant Indian rosewood and the refinement that has made his instruments so sought after worldwide. It is a world class concert guitar in every respect, suitable for the highest level of performance and recording, and an outstanding opportunity for a serious player or collector.
