Adrian Heinzelmann, 2025
Cedar / Madagascar Rosewood
I’m thrilled to finally offer this brand new 2025 guitar by renowned Berlin-based luthier Adrian Heinzelmann, one of the most sought-after young builders in Europe today. This instrument was built specifically for GuitarCollection.com after a long wait, and it does not disappoint.
Adrian Heinzelmann has quickly built an international reputation for his innovative approach to modern concert guitars. A trained cabinetmaker, Heinzelmann honed his craft in the competitive Berlin luthier scene, developing his unique “Groove Top” design—a method where fine grooves are routed into the soundboard to increase responsiveness and control, overlaid with an ultra-light cedar lattice bracing. The result is a guitar that blends bold projection and modern power with warmth, clarity, and exceptional tonal balance.
I’ve reviewed several of Adrian's guitars over the years, including one of his spruce/maple instruments that remains one of the most-watched videos on my channel. This new example, built with cedar and Madagascar rosewood, may be my favorite yet.

Sound & Playability
This guitar embodies what so many players hope for in a modern concert guitar—immense power and clarity, but without sacrificing warmth, sensitivity, or tonal color. The trebles have an uncommon “fatness” to them, producing lush overtones and depth without becoming piercing or harsh. The basses are deep and present, yet perfectly balanced, with sustain that seems to swell like waves after each note.
Despite its power, this guitar retains a distinctly Spanish character in its sound, honoring the tonal traditions of classic makers while offering everything you’d expect from an elite, modern concert instrument. Whether playing quietly with nuance or pushing the guitar for maximum projection, the response is immediate, balanced, and intoxicating.
Condition
Brand new – flawless.
