Ramin Fallah

Istanbul, Turkey

Ramin Fallah is an Iranian luthier based in Istanbul, where he hand builds classical and flamenco guitars, including made to order custom instruments. Working from his Istanbul workshop, he welcomes visitors and collaborates closely with players on woods, finishes, neck profiles, and string action. His philosophy pairs time honored techniques with contemporary craftsmanship, and his instruments have found their way to performers internationally, including a signature model built for the guitarist Ardeshir Farah.

Fallah builds traditionally braced guitars with a distinctly modern look. His Stage Model is designed for performers, aiming for a powerful sound with clear separation between bass and treble that reads at a distance, aided by a side sound port that lets the player hear more of their own sound. He is also among the small number of builders working with thermo treated spruce tops, a process he finds quickens response and lightens the top, and he reaches for unusual tonewood pairings such as yew back and sides alongside more familiar choices. The higher end Dreamy Model rounds out his lineup.

Our first Fallah arrived new and unplayed, directly from his Istanbul workshop: a 2026 Stage Model pairing a thermo treated spruce top with yew back and sides, a Spanish cedar neck, and a modern rosette with real visual presence. We are still getting to know the instrument, and early impressions match its purpose, with projection, separation, and a comfortable, soft feeling neck that settles in easily for long sets. It represents an appealing entry into handmade concert instruments from a workshop worth watching. Our expert team is glad to arrange a showroom visit.
