Sound & Playability
This guitar delivers the classic Smallman experience. The cedar top brings warmth and immediacy to the trebles, while the Madagascar rosewood adds depth, richness, and a broad overtone palette. Notes launch easily under the fingers, then continue to bloom as they carry into the room. It has that rare ability to feel responsive up close while projecting effortlessly at distance.
The 59.5mm bridge spacing offers generous right hand room and clean separation, and the 53mm nut provides a comfortable, confident feel without excess width.
Currently strung with D’Addario XTC45FF, featuring carbon G and B strings paired with a nylon high tension first string, a setup that encourages the clarity of this instrument, while keeping the first string singing brilliantly and colorfully.
