Description

Up for sale is an exceptional example of the most famous Grenada maker - the great Antonio Marin Montero. This one is the model he is most known for. I was built in 2014 but it's in such amazing condition - you'd guess it was finished yesterday.

I've heard and played quite a few Marin Montero guitars, including one nearly every day that was owned by a close friend of mine as we traveled to competitions around the country. His was from 2014 and I always thought it was quite special. This one, being from the same year is no different - it's incredibly lyrical, turns on a dime, and just keeps giving in terms of that classic, Spanish sound that never breaks up. It has clarity and brightness that is balanced well by its roaring, sustain-filled basses.

It's a real treat to get to know, and with Antonio Marin Montero being over 90 years old, his building has slowed - here's a chance to snag a really great example of his work in perfect condition, and at that - one with Brazilian Rosewood back and sides.
