A guitar with such a personality and sound, you just have to try it. If you’ve been looking for the best of the best Granada/Spanish guitar, you’ve landed in the right place. This guitar, made in 2012 by the just recently retired Antonio Marin Montero (the heart of the Granada luthiers) is not only in pristine condition, but has the open voice of a guitar that is 10x it’s age.
On top of the sights and sounds, this guitar is extremely easy to play, featuring a 640mm scale, which I find makes the entire feel of the guitar more easy to manage. Music oozes out of this guitar!!
I can’t go any further without mentioning the Brazilian rosewood on the back of this guitar. I’m not big into all the fancy wood hype, but man, it sure does feel good to sit down, play your guitar and have the smell of Brazilian rosewood escape the guitar (and yes, it has a very particular smell!). It also is just something to appreciate each and every time you pick up your guitar.
The sound? Best described in the video, you have to hear it! It’s punchy, full of energy, and the colors are oh-so-exciting. It really likes to be pushed, but purrs when playing something sensitive! I didn’t have a chance to demonstrate it in the video, but sounds excellent with rasgueado as well (to be expected!)
